Softeq Announces Durateq Give-Away

January 05, 2005

HOUSTON, TX — January, 2005 — Softeq Development Ltd. announced today a special promotion to give away a DURATEQTM rugged handheld computer. The giveaway celebrates the introduction of the DURATEQ 3100. The DURATEQ runs Microsoft Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition software for Pocket PCs and offers rugged performance in extreme environments.

To enter to win, participants must register online at Registration is open from January 6 to March 31.

The DURATEQ 3100 is a durable version of the iPAQ rx3100 from Hewlett-Packard Company.

A more durable and economical handheld, DURATEQ is shockproof, dustproof, and even waterproof. Yet, it does not have the bulk, weight and awkwardness of other rugged handhelds.

The smaller and lighter design is easier to carry, clean and maintain, making it ideal for retail and commercial applications.

“The DURATEQ is designed for applications where you need the extra durability of a rugged handheld, but want the size, portability and compatibility of a consumer iPAQ,” said Derrill Sturgeon, Vice President, Business Development.

“There are groups of professionals where a consumer iPAQ is too fragile, but a rugged handheld is too big and bulky,” said Chris Howard, President, Softeq Development. &ldquoThe durability of the DURATEQ exactly meets the needs of those professionals.”

The DURATEQ is fully expandable and customizable. Delivery is scheduled for mid-2005.
